Being a Programmer

At Oaklands, being a programmer introduces children to the exciting world of computing, helping them develop essential digital skills in a fun and engaging way. Through hands-on activities, students explore creating media, learning how to design and present digital content. They dive into programming, using age-appropriate tools to develop their problem-solving skills and bring their own ideas to life. By studying networks and systems, they gain an understanding of how computers communicate and connect, while data handling teaches them how to collect, analyse, and interpret information. With a focus on creativity, logic, and teamwork, our curriculum builds a strong foundation for the digital world ahead.
