School Uniform
We place a great emphasis on school uniform as we believe that it assists in the promotion of higher standards and gives pupils a sense of belonging to the Oaklands TEAM. We also recognise that people like choice and so we are happy for children to wear the uniform in the range of the Oaklands colours – Red, Grey, White & Black. There is no need for uniform to be branded with the logo or for specific brands – they will get messy and so keep it as good value as possible!

The children are expected to wear:
Red, Grey or Black sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan
White, Red, Grey or Black shirt or polo shirt
Red, Grey or Black checked dress
Black, Grey or Red trousers or skirt
Black shoes (No trainers)
Hair and Jewellery
Longer hair needs to be tied back. Bows must be no bigger that 15cm and in the school colours of Red, Grey, White or Black. if you child is the Integrity Winner, they may where Green.
There is no jewellery to be worn except for a single pair of stud earrings. These need to be no bigger than 5mm in diameter.
PE Kits
PE is an important part of the curriculum. Children wear their PE kit to school on their PE day. Even in the winter, they will try and go otuside and so make sure that they have suitable outside sports wear such as a tracksuit.
For PE, the children need:

A plain white t-shirt in their team colour of plain white

Plain black shorts

Plain trainers or plimsoles

Pain tracksuit for outside PE
Earrings
Earrings should be removed for PE. If this is not possible, parents may tape them over to add protection.
TEAMs
The children are all in a TEAM. Each team has its own colour and the children wear this colour in PE lessons or a plain white t-shirt.
Beech wear yellow.
Cedar wear blue.
Sycamore wear green.
Willow wear red.

Sweatshirts, cardigans and fleeces printed with the `Oaklands’ logo are available from our online provider, Uniformbase.
