Early Years

At the end of Year R, the children are assessed against the Early Learning Goals to see if they are at the expected standard.  The judgements are moderated by other schools and the Local Authority to ensure that the evidence supports the judgement.  If the children reach the expected in specific key areas of learning they are said to have reached a Good Level of Development (GLD).

Good Level of Development

The school were proud of the standard of children as they left the EYFS.  The children made strong progress over their time and we were pleased to see the percentage of children achieving at least expected in the Prime and Specific areas of learning at the end of the year.
